REFLECTIONS

The Annual Reflections Art Program’s theme for the 2021-2022 year is:

“I Will Change the World By...”

Time To Show Off Your Artistic Talents!

 

Program Guidelines:

  • Any student K-5th grade may enter.  The entries will be judged in their age categories: grades K-2 and 3-5.

  • Art work may be submitted in the following areas:  dance, choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography, visual arts, or special artist division.

  • Entries need to be the ORIGINAL work of each student.

  • This event will be run virtually this year. 

  • Up to 3 pieces in each category will be selected by judges to be a part of the Jeffco PTA

What kind of an Art Contest is this?

Reflections is a National PTA Arts Program giving students the opportunity to express themselves and their talents in any of the following six areas:

  • VISUAL ARTS: drawing, painting, collages, (24” x 36”) AND NEW THIS YEAR, 3D art-no size limits to the sculptures/dioramas/ceramics/jewelry etc!

  • PHOTOGRAPHY: one photography print, can be a collage of images but it must be “one seamless print of multiple original photos”, photo should be mounted w/ stiff backing (11” x 14”)

  • LITERATURE: single sided 8 ½ by 11 sheets, not exceeding 2000 words, handwritten or typed

  • MUSIC COMPOSITION: audio voice and/or instrument(s), not exceeding 5 min

  • DANCE COMPOSITION: choreographed dance, not exceeding 5 min. or 1GB

  • VIDEO PRODUCTION: not exceeding 5 min. or 1GB

Congratulations to Alyssa Blasi, she is the first Shaffer student to win gold at the state level and advance onto Nationals where she received an Honorable Mention award!
